Celebrating the Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated

Caramel Connections Foundation is proud to recognize the Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for their steadfast support and commitment to community wellness. Their partnership reflects the power of collective service and the meaningful impact that dedicated organizations can have when they work together to uplift communities.
As a 2026 Bronze Seeds of Joy Community Garden Maintenance Sponsor, the Delta Omega Chapter continues to help nurture the Seeds of Joy Community Garden—a space where families learn, grow, and connect through nutrition and garden-based education. Through hands-on support and community partnership, their contribution helps ensure that the garden remains a welcoming hub where residents can access fresh food, learn sustainable gardening practices, and strengthen connections with neighbors.
We are deeply grateful for their support. Together, we continue to plant seeds of hope, wellness, and opportunity, ensuring that the Seeds of Joy Community Garden remains a place where our community can grow for years to come.

Founded in 1908 at Howard University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is the oldest Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women and has long been dedicated to service, scholarship, and sisterhood. The sorority’s mission centers on cultivating high scholastic and ethical standards, promoting unity among women, addressing issues affecting girls and women, and being of “Service to All Mankind.”
Across its many chapters, members carry out impactful community initiatives focused on empowering families, building economic opportunity, enhancing the environment, advocating for social justice, and uplifting local communities. Programs often include education enrichment for youth, financial literacy and entrepreneurship initiatives, environmental stewardship projects, and outreach efforts that address hunger, health, and community wellbeing.
The Delta Omega Chapter exemplifies these values through its continued dedication to service and partnership. By supporting the Seeds of Joy Community Garden, the chapter is helping cultivate more than fruits and vegetables—it is helping cultivate healthier families, stronger neighborhoods, and opportunities for learning and connection.
At Caramel Connections Foundation, we believe that community transformation happens when passionate partners come together with a shared vision. The Delta Omega Chapter’s commitment to service and sisterhood shines brightly in our garden beds and in the hearts of the families we serve.
