Last week, Caramel Connections Foundation (CCF), in partnership with Feed the Children and Niagara Cares, hosted a transformative Food Giveaway & Resource Rally at the Anthony Munoz Community Center in Ontario, CA. Despite the rainy weather, the event brought hope and resources to our community, serving 800 low-income families and leaving a lasting impact.

The giveaway included over $300,000 worth of essential items, including food, hygiene products, water, and even Disney children’s books. Each family received approximately 75 pounds of supplies designed to alleviate food insecurity and provide comfort during difficult times.

While the rain prevented us from holding the Resource Rally in its original location at the Seed of Joy Community Garden, the spirit of collaboration remained strong. Several dedicated community partners braved the elements and seamlessly integrated into the food giveaway setup at the Anthony Munoz Community Center. Their commitment ensured that families could still connect with vital resources and services, from housing assistance to educational programs. Attendees also had the opportunity to complete surveys for a chance to win a free frozen turkey, Thanksgiving baskets, and gift cards.

The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries, including Supervisor Curt Hagman, as well as representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Norma Torres and Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Gómez Reyes. Their inspiring remarks underscored the power of community and the importance of supporting those in need.

One memorable moment came when a double rainbow appeared over the event. It was a beautiful reminder of hope and the positive impact that collective efforts can have on those in need.

We are deeply grateful to all our partners, volunteers, and community members who made this event possible. The turnout and engagement reaffirmed the importance of coming together to support one another.

As we reflect on the success of this event, we are reminded that our mission goes beyond one day of giving—it’s about building stronger, healthier communities every day.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative. Together, we’re making a difference!
